(Source: UNOG - United Nations Office at Geneva) 15 September 2016 The Committee on the Rights of the Child today concluded its consideration of the combined third to fifth periodic report of Sierra Leone on its implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Introducing the report, Sylvia Olayinka Blyiden, Minister of Social Welfare, Gender and Children's Affairs of Sierra Leone, said that the Government of Sierra Leone placed priority on upholding the rights of all children and was committed towards ensuring that Sierra Leone fully complied with its obligations set out in the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
