Sierra Leone Telegraph: 13 April 2017 The Parliament of Sierra Leone last Tuesday, 11th of April, 2017, overwhelmingly approved the appointment of Mr Melron Nicol-Wilson as the country’s new Ombudsman. His appointment to the office of Ombudsman by president Koroma, comes as a replacement for the incumbent Justice Edmond Cowan, who chairs the Sierra Leone Constitutional Review Committee. Mr Nicol-Wilson is believed to have met the requirements for the role, and is popularly known both in Sierra Leone and internationally as a champion of justice and human rights.
