It's now widely known that the government of Sierra Leone has instituted a ban on pregnant girls from taking exams and attending regular schools. The ban gives Sierra Leone the dubious distinction of being the only country in the sub-region with an official policy that is geared to deliberately and expressly keep out thousands of its citizens from enjoying the fundamental right to education.
